No online mode at launch
There is no multiplayer or online mode on November 19, 2026. The existing GTA Online (inside GTA V) reportedly earns over $500M a year from microtransactions — roughly $1M a day — giving Rockstar room to focus entirely on the single-player campaign.

- Chapter structure: leaked material compiled by insider LegacyKillaHD suggests the campaign is split into five chapters, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. Everything shown in official trailers so far reportedly comes from chapters one through three.
- Separate intro missions: Jason and Lucia are said to have entirely separate opening missions. Jason's reportedly involves chasing a plane carrying a Russian drug smuggler to steal its cargo, which ends up lost at sea after a police chase — requiring a later diving mission to recover it.
- Lucia's backstory: leaks claim Lucia is the story's true emotional core (comparable to Michael De Santa in GTA V), including a flashback showing her abandoning an infant at a delicatessen just before being arrested during a bank robbery — with the story beginning as she's released on parole and met by Jason.

Unconfirmed rumors
- Map size: community mapping projects analyzing coordinate data from the 2022 leak estimate Leonida's landmass at roughly 2.16× the size of GTA V's map — with Vice City alone said to be nearly as large as the entire GTA V map.
- Flat topography: since real Florida is extremely flat, Leonida is expected to lack the mountain ranges GTA V used to block sightlines and bound the map. Speculation points to increased draw distance and heavy fog/atmospheric effects compensating for this.
- Northern expansion to "Gloriana": license plates in leaked footage reportedly read "Gloriana," speculated to be the series' fictional stand-in for Georgia. A wildlife park is also said to be modeled on a real North Carolina mountain, fueling theories about a far-north excursion late in the story.
